Amy McPherson is a Red River Métis artist and fashion designer based in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Through her Fashion Ikwe Designs label, she combines traditional Indigenous techniques, including beadwork, porcupine quillwork, and caribou hair tufting, with contemporary fashion. Inspired by her Métis heritage and the natural beauty of the Canadian Prairies, Amy creates meaningful designs that celebrate cultural identity, tradition, and artistic expression. She also shares her knowledge through workshops and community teaching, helping preserve these traditional art forms for future generations.
